Madrid is filled with many attractions that draw tourists from different parts of the globe. There are a lot of places to see and things to do while visiting the beautiful city. If you want to make the most of your vacation then you should know what the most famous tourist attractions in the city are. The Plaza Mayor is a huge square located close to another popular plaza in Madrid called Puerta del Sol.

The Plaza Mayor is bordered by tall residential buildings on all sides. It is a huge and airy space where you can do a lot of exciting activities or just relax and enjoy the view. The plaza has several traditional shops as well as cafes. This is a very prominent historical site in Madrid and it has been around since 1589. The plaza has hosted a lot of important events such as bullfights and executions in the past.

The Museo del Prado is one of the most excellent art galleries in the whole world. It displays an impressive collection of art pieces of the 12th to 19th century. Art enthusiasts will surely have a great time viewing the art pieces in the museum. Aside from paintings, the museum displays collections of sculptures, coins and drawings. The Gran Via is a famous shopping district in Madrid. It is a very beautiful street that extends from Calle de Alcala all the way to the Plaza de España. The shopping district has the best shopping destinations in the area as well as hotels and cinemas.

The Templo de Debod is an authentic Egyptian temple that is in the heart of Madrid pr specifically the Plaze de España. It was built in 2 BC and in 1968 it was given as a gift from the government of Egypt to that of locations villa espagne. It is also famous for being the largest palace in the entire Europe. The palace can be found in Bailen Street and some portions of it have been opened for public tours.
