The Mar Menor which means “sea little” is the biggest salt water lagoon in the entire Europe. It is located in the Eastern coast of Spain and it is filled with excellent beaches and world-class resorts. You can have your fill of adventure and relaxation while you are in the Mar Menor. The culture of the people is also reason enough for you to visit the place aside from their great beaches.

The water of the Mar Menor is known to be very beneficial in healing diseases such as skin irritations, gout, rheumatism and arthritis. This is mainly due to the very elevated salt content of the water in the Mar Menor. The benefits of the water of the Mar Menor have been seen many years ago. The Romans created facilities to extract the water and built spas to maximize the therapeutic benefits of the Mar Menor salt water.

Aside from the therapeutic benefits of the water, Mar Menor is also great for all kinds of water sports. Swimming is also a perfect activity at the Mar Menor because the temperature of the water is just perfect; it is warmer by 5°C than the water in the Mediterranean Sea. There are also lots of outdoor activities that you can do in Mar Menor. The wetlands in the area are home to various species of birds and other animals.

You may also dine on the tables that are right on the beach. The dishes on the menu are made from the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The service is also highly commendable at this famous restaurant.
